My Kotobukiya Kureha is Here!
by Sabar on Mar.30, 2008, under Figures
Actually, I have picked up my Kotobukiya Kureha yesterday afternoon in KKnM but I have no time to do the setup to take pictures of her^^So I am doing it today. I can say that I am somehow happy with the figure but just one part that I am disappointed with ^^ Btw, why is this figure out so early when the official release day announced during the pre-order periode is in April?
First up is the package box that comes with the figure. The box is quite a big one as the pose require it. In the inside, there are only 2 things - the figure and the Japanese bow. Nice packaging. (keeping the box also)
Here are some of the pictures of her body. Wow, her skin is really smooth here. Like the yellow clothes and the hair style as it is seem that there is wind blowing them. Although everything is good, the painting work on her clothes still have some parts not painted very good (some of the brown paint is over the yellow parts and some bits needed to be painted brown is not painted). But I cannot say much as this is the result on mass produced product. To view all of the pictures I have taken, this is the place^^
The eyes (both kinds) are also big. I think I will classify her as cool and nice (parts that are needed to be big are big) but not really moe^^
The only part that can be remove is her skirt and the bow so I also decided to take some shots of her not have the skirt on. The skirt that is removed is in the first pic. Quite nice to see her like this.
This is the bow that Kureha is holding. I have to be careful while putting or removing the bow from her hand as the paint on the bow seems to be very easy to get to the hand. The main part of the bow can be bent a little so it is ok if you are not too rough with it. I am not very sure whether the string is a metal line or just a normal string but I am sure that it is cannot be stratch. So if you are getting it, don’t think that the string is stretchable and pull it. It will sure to detach from the bow body.
This is the part of the Kureha that I am quite disappointed with. First, instead of a wooden base that was informed eariler, I have received a plastic base which isn’t really such a bad thing. But the bad thing is that Kureha is screwed to the base! Yes, it is using screw to screw her to the base. It means I will not be able to shoot her from the bottom (LOL) unless I remove the screw which I don’t think many people would like to do that.
Anyway, it is good that I have gotten her^^
